Wonderful museum featuring part of BC's industrial history. Excellent facilities with a range of experiences, mostly outside. Do not miss the tour of the mine. Great for all ages, particularly people that don't need to stare at a screen for entertainment. Great all times of year but (does this need to be said?) can be busy during the summer season. Make sure to give yourself enough time to wander the site and see what catches your eye.

This place was really fun for the child inside of me. I really enjoyed the gold panning and the regular tour into the tunnels (even though we went on a Halloween weekend). our tour guide was very informative and friendly. My older-on-the-inside husband also enjoyed the educational aspect of the displays and tour. It'll be a great place for family outings. Recommend!

Really really interesting. Would be better if they turned more of the homes into exhibits. The mine tour was really neat!

I love to see and hear how things are made - this museum did a great job of it. Informative video, story boards, artifacts, etc. The actual tour in the mine and then to see the 20 storey gravity fed factory was quite cool. My 11 and 14 year olds also enjoy it. Well done!

Tour guide was passionate and enthusiastic. I believe her name was Maggie. We went here on a whim, and were pleasantly surprised. The tour is engaging and interesting. You get to experience first-hand what it may have been like to be a miner in the 1800-1900s. I don't recommend bringing small children here because the cave could be scary for them. I also recommend bringing warm clothing because it is quite cold in the cave. Overall a fantastic place to visit.
